Tim Gilbertson is an International Finance professional with broad experience across most Finance functions who has worked in the US, UK and Singapore. He started his career with NationsBank, a predecessor to Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Charlotte, USA. in 1997. During his 18 year career with BAML, Tim worked in International Accounting in Charlotte, Corporate Treasury and Product Control in London and Legal Entity Control and Finance Operations in Singapore. While in London he led regional CFO Group efforts to set up an offshore Centre of Excellence in Gurgaon, India. In Singapore, he served as CFO Group lead for Asia overseeing the implementation of what, at the time, was the largest SAP ERP system installation in history, and led the Accounts Payable function across 12 AsiaPac countries.
After leaving Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Tim joined Standard Chartered Bank as a Senior Manager to help with the 2017 Group-level Planning and Budgeting process.
In late 2016, Tim left Standard Chartered to enter the world of FinTech startups, initially as mentor and coach to startups in a Singapore-based accelerator. He became captivated by the start-up world, soon setting up his own company to design and oversee the creation of a mobile application.
In mid-2017 Tim joined Happi, a Market Research start-up in Singapore, as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. At Happi, Tim oversees all Finance and Investor Relations matters in addition to serving on the Board of Directors.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Management from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Masters Degree in Business Administration/International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, both in the US.
